Giving thanks

The night before Thanksgiving at Brewbaker’s has become Winchester’s unofficial homecoming. People seem to come into town, give Mom & Dad a hug, then head downtown to catch up with everyone else who is home for the holiday. Not as big as the Bloom, but the same type of atmosphere and you can hear the party a couple blocks away. It was fun to see how much people have (and haven’t) changed.I was so grateful to be in town this Thanksgiving and not have to be on the road. We cooked dinner at my parents’ house, which turned out lovely despite having to cancel the Annual Richardson Turkey Fry due to weather. Our friend Tim even got to join us, so we actually roasted two birds and now have leftovers out the wazoo.
